The Nursing Care Awards shine a light on the vital work that is being done to provide the care and support that is needed to provide those in care homes with the quality of life we would want for ourselves in later life.

The standards set by the regulatory authority form the basis of the quality society expects for the elderly. The maintenance of standards requires commitment from staff and management and is often a challenge when meeting the needs of those in their care. On-going support and training are vital. So is the need to review the work of individuals both formally and informally.

We believe the Nursing Care Awards play an important role in encouraging everyone involved in the nursing and residential care sector to review, informally, their work and enter one of the award categories.

Previous award entries have demonstrated that there is already a high standard throughout the sector. But the process of individuals personally reviewing their work and preparing an entry is a constructive developmental exercise that reflects professionalism.

With increasing importance being given to the quality of care provided for the elderly, the Nursing Care Awards celebrate the excellent work and achievements in independent nursing home and residential care settings across Northern Ireland.

The 2025 Nursing Care Awards attracted entries from across the sector attending the glittering awards ceremony at Titanic Belfast hosted by broadcaster Claire McCollum (right).

The glittering black-tie awards night was an event to remember. A sparkling wine reception welcomed everyone to the iconic Titanic Belfast for the 2025 awards and provided a networking opportunity before dinner.

A sumptuous three-course dinner was followed by the presentation of the awards. A surprise musical interruption entertained everyone before the results of the charity ballot for Age NI were announced. Then the party began live music filling the dance floor.

OPPORTUNITES FOR INVOLVEMENT

There are four levels of sponsorship in the 2026 Nursing Care Awards Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze all provide a great return of investment as well as maintaining your profile in the sector.

Naming Sponsor – £25,000

As naming sponsor your company’s name or brand would be integrated into the title of the awards and would appear every time the title is used in publicity material, the awards’ webpage and backdrops at the awards ceremony. The cost of being the naming sponsor is £25,000. This would include:

  • Sponsorship of three award categories with your branding on each award trophy. We have listed below the categories available for sponsorship.
  • Three tables of ten at the awards ceremony
  • A company representative to present the award categories you have sponsored at the fabulous awards ceremony
  • Your branding included on the awards’ web page and in promotional mailings, trophies, highly commended certificates and the awards ceremony backdrop
  • A stand-alone photo call and press release announcing your sponsorship and the categories you are sponsoring
  • Distribution of photograph and press release of the winner of each of your categories to their local media
  • Display space at the awards ceremony as a distribution point for sales and promotional material
  • The opportunity to network during the pre-dinner drinks reception
  • The option to contribute to the merchandise table at the awards ceremony
  • Professional interview on the evening by Gary Grattan. When agreed by client this can be used as a marketing tool as the customer feels fit.
Levels of Sponsorship

There are four levels of sponsorship for involvement in the 2026 Northern Ireland Nursing Care Awards – Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze– all of them providing a great return of investment as well as maintaining your profile in the sector.

Platinum Sponsorship… The Bridge overlooking the Titanic Suite –  £19,950
  • Sponsorship of an award category with your branding on the award trophy. We have listed below the categories available for sponsorship.

  • The lounge with its dedicated bar will provide a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the dancing and entertainment. It will be here that those who want to pursue a conversation or network can retreat.
